After entering the editing mode, all you need to do is mouse over the website block you want to change.

You’ll be able to quickly add new or remove existing blocks and elements, as well as upload your own photos, change the font and colors, add animations and buttons, select the spacing, and more.

Best For Starting Price Free Custom Domain Free Version Standout Features on Cheapest Plan
Wedding websites with embedded YouTube invitations $10.99/Month No Yes – Website security (SSL)
– 24/7 customer support
– Website updates on-the-go

GoDaddy is an excellent option for building a wedding website, thanks to its hundreds of templates, the AI-powered advice that guides you through the process, and the fact that you can get started and build a wedding website for free.

The key selling point of GoDaddy’s website builder is its simplicity. Whether you choose to customize a professional template or build your wedding site from scratch, you’ll be able to easily add new elements to the page, create scrollable sections, add multiple pages, and create a gallery of images, all with just a few clicks.

You can even add a YouTube video to your website’s homepage, so a video recording of you and your partner inviting people to the wedding will auto-play as soon as the site loads.

GoDaddy also lets you create dedicated sections to cover dress codes, weather information, and other crucial details. You can even create a separate page for out-of-town guests to provide them with a list of accommodation options close to the venue.

The platform’s AI-powered insights will also help you add an RSVP feature to the wedding website and a link to your registry information so you can easily keep track of the number of confirmed guests.

After your wedding website is complete, you can easily share it alongside a “save the date” invitation via email or on social media, which is infinitely easier than sending out physical invitations to hundreds of guests.

Pros

5. Webador — Best Website Builder For Building Free Wedding Websites

Logo for Webador

Best For Starting Price Free Custom Domain Free Version Standout Features on Cheapest Plan
Simple, one-page wedding websites $5/month No Free-forever plan – Free website hosting
– Responsive templates
– Free SSL certificate

Webador is the best free wedding website builder on our list. It provides you with fully customizable templates and easy-to-use editing tools without requiring a subscription, so you’ll be able to build your dream wedding site completely free. Not to mention, all their paid plans are also free for the first six months.

When you get started, you can choose between a wedding website that’s pre-filled with content or an empty one if you want to design your wedding site from scratch.

We recommend the latter since the pre-filled ones are geared toward business sites. If you opt for the “empty” option, you’ll still be able to choose a template, so you’re not starting from scratch.

There aren’t any dedicated wedding templates, unfortunately, but the editor is super-easy to use, so you can choose one that matches what you’ve envisioned and easily edit the elements on the page, add photos and text, and find the right colors for the background.

With the free plan, you’ll also have access to a library of stock photos, so you can add images of flowers, wedding rings, venues, and more. The images are also easy to edit, and you’ll be able to resize and crop them, add filters and text, and spruce them up with frames.

A couple of things to be aware of regarding the free plan are that you won’t be able to choose a custom URL for the wedding website – instead, you’ll have to opt for a .webador.com domain – plus the company will run ads on it.

Still, considering that the free plan includes free hosting, unlimited pages, unlimited storage, and the ability to include a blog on your website, it’s still an excellent deal.

Pros

  • Free-forever plan with free hosting and unlimited storage
  • Easy-to-use website editor
  • Access to hundreds of breathtaking stock photos
  • Comprehensive help center and great customer support
  • Great for wedding invitation websites

Cons

  • Ads on the website with the free plan

What Do You Need a Wedding Website Builder For?

While building a wedding website might sound daunting, with the right tools, you can get one up and running in less than an hour.

With a custom wedding website, you can simply send a website link to all your guests and have them RSVP to the wedding by email. This will save you a bunch of time and money and make it easier to organize, knowing exactly how many people you should plan for long in advance.

You can also create a wishlist on your wedding website so people know what types of gifts you’re expecting. This will also help ensure you don’t get twelve toasters from different people, as everyone can see what items are already covered.

After the wedding, you can also use the website to share photos from the event, as well as create a page where you can post photos and share experiences from your honeymoon.

A wedding website builder is also an excellent option for wedding planners and photographers. You can create a portfolio to show your past work, share your experience, automate booking, and post reviews to attract more clients.

How To Choose A Wedding Website Builder

Wedding preparations take a lot of time, money, and planning and can get stressful.

If you’re looking to build a wedding website, we strongly recommend an easy wedding website builder that will allow you to get a gorgeous, fully functioning site up and running without too much work.

With that in mind, there are a few crucial factors you need to consider when choosing a wedding website builder, especially if you’re going to rely on it as a primary source of sending out wedding invitations and sharing wedding details, such as the time and date of the event and suggestions of available accommodation.

Here’s a breakdown of all the key details you need to pay close attention to:

Ease of UseWedding TemplatesWebsite Building ResourcesCustomization OptionsDomain & HostingCost

Unless you have lots of website design experience, we recommend opting for a tool with a simple drag-and-drop website editor.

This way, you’ll be able to rearrange and customize all the elements on every page of the wedding website in a few clicks rather than building the entire site from the ground up and messing with the code.

It’s best to start with a professional wedding website template since editing and fine-tuning it to perfectly fit your vision will take the least amount of time.

These templates have all the key sections where you can share the details regarding the wedding and crucial functionality like an RSVP feature and a link to your wedding registry.

If you want to customize your wedding website, opting for a website builder with plenty of free resources to learn the ins and outs of website building is always a smart idea.

Plenty of providers offer free guides, how-to videos, tutorials, and professional customer support to help make your dream website a reality.

When it comes to wedding website design, you should have the full freedom to customize it according to your and your future spouse’s preferences. That’s why we recommend opting for a website builder that lets you customize everything, from the website layout to colors, fonts, and images.

You should prioritize the best website builders that offer free hosting and the ability to connect a custom domain on their cheapest subscription plans. Otherwise, you’d have to pay extra for a domain or have to settle for a URL that contains the company’s name.

When it comes to pricing, make sure you fully understand what’s included with each subscription tier.

Carefully read through the list of features available, and make sure you’ll have access to free templates, SSL (Secure Socket Layer), hosting, and all other tools and features you’ll need to ensure your website is ready in time.

How To Make a Wedding Website

Here’s a step-by-step guide you can follow to get started today and make your own wedding website in record time:

Step 1 — Sign Up for a Website Builder

Go to Wix.com

In this example, we’ll use Wix, as it’s the best wedding website builder on our list.

To get started, simply visit the official Wix website and click the Get Started button on the homepage.

Create your Wix account or sign in using your existing Google account.

Step 2 — Select the Type of Website You Want to Build

After logging in, you’ll have the option to choose the type of site you’d like to build. Type in “wedding” in the search bar and select the one that’s most appropriate, such as the “Wedding Save the Date” type, a site for wedding planners, or a site for wedding photographers or venues.

To confirm your selection, click Next. You’ll be redirected to your Wix Dashboard, where you can enter your website name and select its goals.

Step 3 — Choose What You Want to Add to Your Site

Start editing your website

Next, you’ll choose the core elements to add to your site. If you’ve opted for a wedding website, the “Events” and “Chat” options will be enabled automatically. The former is crucial since it allows for RSVP integration, while the latter lets you chat with guests who have selected the option using your phone or laptop.

You might also consider adding “Video” and “Portfolio” options so you can embed a video invitation to your wedding on the homepage and add photos to enrich the website and showcase the wedding venue.

Step 4: Choose a Template

Wix wedding templates

After choosing the elements, you can either begin with a blank website or start from a template. We recommend opting for a template since it’s much easier to customize the existing elements than to start from scratch.

There are plenty of professional wedding templates in Wix’s library, so simply find the one you like, mouse over it, and click on “Edit” to start customizing it.

Step 5 — Create Your Dream Website

Wix wedding templates perfection

Use the menu on the left-hand side to add new website elements, change the existing ones, edit the text, add new images and videos, and configure every element of the template to your liking.

Feel free to play around as much as you want. If you don’t like what you’ve created, you can always start again using the same or a different template, so get creative.

Step 6 — Publish Your Website

Now your website is ready

Double-check every page to make sure everything’s in order, then click Publish in the editor to make your website live.
