Satya Nadella’s Net Worth in 2024: Microsoft CEO’s Wealth Analyzed

Satya Nadella’s family lives in Bellevue, the fifth-largest city in Washington State with a population of 154,600 in 2023, according to the city’s website.

It is located about 10 miles east of Seattle, the state’s largest city, and is Sandwiched between Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish.

According to India-based real estate and mortgage platform, Square Yards, Satya Nadella’s house is a modern, sophisticated, luxurious building with views of Lake Washington and the Seattle skyline. It has an estimated value of $7.5 million.

Apart from his Bellevue home, Nadella also owns several properties in his hometown of Hyderabad, California, Ranchi, and the United Kingdom.

Satya Nadella is married to Anupama Nadella, the daughter of Nadella’s father’s batchmate at the Indian government’s administrative arm, the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), according to the India Times.

The couple, who married in 1992, has three children – two daughters and a son. In February 2022, Satya Nadella’s family suffered a heartbreaking setback when they unexpectedly lost their son, Zain, who had cerebral palsy.

In his Linkedin’s post in 2017, Nadella discussed how raising Zain, the couple’s firstborn, and witnessing his wife care for him had a profound impact on his empathy toward people with disabilities.

As for Satya Nadella’s daughters – Divya and Tara – there is little information about them as they are rarely in the public spotlight. According to 10talent.com, Nadella’s second and third children follow their father’s steps, working as software engineers.

Nadella embodies inclusion principles in his work by making accessibility a top priority in Microsoft’s product development, ensuring that technology is used to enhance inclusivity for all users. These products include features such as the screen-reading Narrator in Windows 11, Hearing AI, an artificial intelligence technology to enhance hearing abilities, and Seeing AI for visually impaired individuals.

As part of Microsoft’ commitment to diversity and inclusion, Microsoft has initiatives such as the Autism Hiring Program and the Employment Support Program, aimed to empower and attract talent from individuals with disabilities.

“Becoming a father of a son with special needs was the turning point in my life that has shaped who I am today. It has helped me better understand the journey of people with disabilities. It has shaped my personal passion for and philosophy of connecting new ideas to empathy for others,” he said.

Satya Nadella and his family dedicate their charity activities to Seattle Children’s Hospital where Zain was born and was a long-time patient until his passing. In May 2021, Satya and Anu committed $15 million to support precision medicine neurosciences and youth mental health care.

With the couple’s donation, in the same year, Seattle Children’s Hospital established the Zain Nadella Endowed Chair in Pediatric Neurosciences as part of the hospital’s Center for Integrative Brain Research.

Financial donation is not only the Nadella family’s contribution to the hospital. Anu sits at the Board of Trustees of the Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation. The foundation focuses on raising funds from donors and community for financing researches and financial aid for patients.

Tara, the couple’s youngest daughter, is one of the hospital’s Philanthropy Ambassadors.

Nadella’s other charity work is joining the Cerebral Palsy Foundation’s campaign alongside other public figures, including Apple CEO Tim Cook.
