Ultimate Ears, Logitech’s audio brand, has introduced its smallest and most affordable Bluetooth speaker, the Miniroll.?
This palm-sized speaker is 1.9 inches thick and about 4 inches in diameter, making it easy to fit in a pocket and take anywhere. It also features a built-in strap for easy attachment to items like bags or a bike’s handlebar.
The Miniroll, priced at $79, is a direct competitor to some of the best compact and lightweight Bluetooth speakers, like the JBL Clip 5, which costs $70, and the Tribit Stormbox Micro 2, available at a slightly lower price of $60. The UE Miniroll offers up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge, which is impressive considering its price point and is similar to what the Tribit Stormbox provides. When the battery runs out, the Miniroll can be recharged throughits USB-C port.
The Miniroll has an edge over its competitors through PartyUp with Auracast. This allows users to connect an unlimited number of compatible Ultimate Ears speakers within a 131-foot range.
The UE Miniroll includes a 45.6 mm active driver and a 37.75 mm x 65 mm passive radiator, allowing the speaker to reach up to 85.5 dB of volume. Ultimate Ears claims that the Miniroll is drop-proof from a height of 3.9ft and offers IP67 dust and water resistance.
Additionally, the Miniroll is notable for being wrapped in 100% post-consumer recycled polyester fabric, and contains at least 40% recycled plastic parts. The packaging is also made from paper sourced from responsibly maintained forests.
Overall, the Ultimate Ears Miniroll is worth considering if you’re looking for the features of the UE Wonderboom 4 in a more compact size and at a similar price. The Miniroll comes in four color options – Gentle Black, Majestic Blue, Calming Pink, and Revive Gray. It’s available for purchase starting today through the Ultimate Ears website.
