The 15-inch version boasts impressive battery life, lasting over 22 hours of local video playback, significantly outlasting the Surface Laptop 5 and the MacBook Air. Additionally, these laptops support Wi-Fi 7, ensuring faster and more reliable internet connectivity.
The new display features HDR and Dolby Vision IQ, providing vivid and dynamic visuals. New Studio Cameras integrated into the bezel eliminate the need for a notch, offering a seamless design. The keyboard now includes a dedicated Copilot key, enhancing productivity, and the touchpad is equipped with haptic feedback, aligning with the latest modern systems.
The Surface Laptop features a display brightness of 600 nits, the brightest Microsoft has ever shipped, along with a P3 color gamut for a wide color range.
Surface Pro
The new Surface Pro also features much thinner bezels, giving it a sleek and modern appearance. It is up to 90% faster than the Surface Pro 9, offering a significant boost in performance.

One of the standout features is the new Quad HD front-facing Studio Camera, similar to the one seen on the Surface Pro 10 for Business. This camera promises superior video quality for conferencing and content creation.
The new Flex Keyboard can fold on its back, allowing users to type while it is disconnected from the Surface tablet. The Flex Keyboard includes a bold typed keyset, previously seen on the business models, and the Surface Slim Pen sits at the top of the keyboard, similar to the existing Pro Covers, ensuring convenient storage and accessibility.
Copilot+ AI PC Initiative
Microsoft’s new Copilot+ AI PC initiative includes new Surfaces and partner systems running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite chips. The company announced significant improvements in Windows 11 to support Arm-based hardware and AI better.
This includes a new kernel, compiler, and emulator named “Prism” for running older x86 and x64 apps. These updates aim to address previous issues with Windows on Arm, potentially ending the company’s Windows on Arm woes.
Overall, Microsoft’s latest Surface devices promise substantial improvements in speed, battery life, and user experience, marking a significant step forward in their product lineup.
