Amazfit has expanded its range of T-Rex lineup of smartwatches adding the Amazfit T-Rex 3.?
It arrives as the successor to the T-Rex 2 that debuted in 2022 and carries a price tag of $279. The T-Rex smartwatches are rugged offerings for enhanced durability making them ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. The Amazfit T-Rex will compete with the likes of the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra as well as the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and many of Garmin’s smartwatches.
The Amazfit T-Rex 3 boasts a 48mm circular dial with an octagonal-shaped stainless steel bezel. There are two physical buttons on each side. The smartwatch packs military-grade durability along with a 10 ATM water-resistance rating making it enough for outdoor activities. The wearable device has a 1.5in AMOLED display with 2,000 nits peak brightness.
In terms of health and fitness, the Amazfit T-Rex 3 is equipped with common health tracking sensors including heart rate, SpO2, sleep, and stress measurement. It also comes with additional parameters like heart-rate variability, VO2 Max, training load, and recovery times. The Readiness Score tracks your sleep and lets you know whether you’re ready for a workout activity or should rest. The wearable device packs support for over 170 workout modes.
The Amazfit T-Rex 3 runs on Zepp OS 4. It comes with a Zepp Flow AI assistant that is powered by ChatGPT-4o for voice commands. There is a dual-band GPS for accurate location results without having to depend on a smartphone. It is capable of displaying information like air pressure, altitude, storm alerts, tide, sun and moon phases. The smartwatch is claimed to provide 27 days of battery life under typical usage. Enabling all the health-tracking features will make it last up to 13 days. Meanwhile, users can get up to 7.5 days of usage with continuous GPS enabled.
