What is ClearCompany?
Looking for software that will help you level up your approach to talent management and acquisition? Then ClearCompany might just be for you. The ClearCompany applicant tracking system is an intuitive, sleek platform that is bursting with AI-enhanced features that make people management easy and seamless.
In this ClearCompany review, we’ll explore everything there is to know about the platform, including its price, key features, and how it fares against competitors.
ClearCompany Pricing & Plans
ClearCompany offers two distinct plans: one gives you access to the entire platform, and the other gives you modular access, enabling you to pick and choose the functionalities you’d like to include.
For both plans, the pricing structure is opaque. This is likely because ClearCompany is a highly scalable software. The software is used by companies both large and small, so it would be unfair to state a blanket price when different customers have drastically different headcounts.
Plan | Modular access | Total platform access |
---|---|---|
Monthly Cost | Bespoke | Bespoke |
Free Trial | ❌ | ❌ |
Users | Bespoke | Bespoke |
Talent Management | ✅ | ✅ |
PTO Management | ❌ | ❌ |

Customer Support | Phone, chat, and email support | Phone, chat, and email support |
While we were initially disappointed to see ClearCompany doesn’t offer a free trial, when we started the onboarding process, we understood why. ClearCompany’s customer success team was hands-on and excellent, guiding us through the setup process every step of the way.
This is a solution that integrates deeply into your business, using artificial intelligence and automation to understand your organizational goals, job roles, and HR challenges.
Because the setup process is so in-depth and personalized, a free trial doesn’t make sense. Saying this, ClearCompany does offer free product demos, so you can familiarize yourself with the platform before purchase.
Here’s a closer look at the difference between each plan.
Modular Access
ClearCompany understands that organizations might not need to use all of its software features, which is why it offers a modular plan.
This gives you access to either the talent acquisition module, which includes recruitment, applicant tracking, and onboarding, or the talent management module, which includes the performance management module and employee engagement.
We can see the benefits of offering these modules. Some small organizations, for example, might not need a digitalized approach to talent management yet want a professional, seamless solution to drive recruitment.
Similarly, organizations with established recruitment processes might solely be looking for a solution to enrich the talent management process.
Total Platform Access
With Total Platform Access, you’ll unlock both of the above modules, as well as ClearCompany’s powerful HR and analytics features. This data-driven module uses artificial intelligence to help HR and finance leaders effortlessly collaborate on staffing needs and budgets.
While small organizations might not need such detailed reports, the insights ClearCompany’s software gives on factors like headcount, hiring time, and budget accuracy will undoubtedly help strategic decision-making in larger companies.

ClearCompany Standout Features
ClearCompany is a modern HR platform that puts talent recruitment, retention, and engagement at its center. While it lacks some traditional HR features, like payroll and benefits, this is because it’s a human capital management system (HCMS), not a standard HR system–and it’s one of the best we’ve reviewed.
For one, ClearCompany is a joy to use. Its sleek interface is extremely intuitive, meaning even individuals new to using an HCMS will find it easy to navigate. Its applicant tracking and performance management tools are also a cut above, with thoughtful, data-driven features that make HR teams’ jobs much easier.
Here’s a closer look at ClearCompany’s standout features.
Talent Acquisition
We were impressed by ClearCompany’s recruitment offering. When it comes to sourcing talent, ClearCompany’s robust system cleverly uses AI and analytics to compare your top performers with potential candidates, generating bespoke candidate recommendations that match your exact requirements while also being mindful of diversity and inclusion (DE&I) practices.
While it sounds complex, we found ClearCompany’s talent acquisition features extremely easy to use. The process is laid out step-by-step, and ClearCompany’s automation capabilities take care of all candidate outreach, including texting and emailing potential candidates on your behalf – even writing job descriptions and offer letters to potential new hires.
We also loved that the software includes background checks, as well as integrates with leading video software providers, so you can handle the recruitment process end-to-end with the software. What’s more, you can integrate with other ATS systems and job boards, such as LinkedIn and JobTarget, which makes it easy to retrieve candidate information.
For candidates, too, ClearCompany’s offering is excellent. The software includes functionality that allows you to design your own branded career site using pre-built templates. We found this feature really easy to use, and the results looked very professional.
Employee Onboarding
ClearCompany’s recruitment features are just the start. The software also facilitates seamless employee onboarding, again using AI.
The virtual onboarding software is easy to set up on the HR side and gives new hires a great first impression.
Once they log in to the system, they’ll see a welcome page that gives them an overview of their colleagues, managers, and leadership. They’ll also see a tick-through action list with onboarding tasks and forms, which they can sign electronically in-app.
As a nice touch, customization options include sending welcome messages to new hires in the app, allowing you to showcase your company values and culture from the moment of employment.
ClearCompany’s onboarding suite is powerful, but it’s also simple for hiring managers to use. We found it easy to automate new hire welcome messages and onboarding checklists. Plus, the HR dashboard gives you an easy-to-understand overview of all new employees and where they are within the onboarding process.
Employee Engagement
Acquiring great talent is one thing. Keeping it is another. That’s where ClearCompany’s employee engagement tools become invaluable. The tool uses data-driven in-app nudges to encourage employees to share thanks with their colleagues, remember birthdays, and welcome new employees–all of which can do wonders for boosting culture and connection as part of your strategic HR.
The software also facilitates goal setting and evaluation at the individual and team levels with its performance management tools, which we thought worked really well. On the employee side, each individual gets access to a dashboard that shows their team and individual goals, so they can understand how their contributions play into the bigger picture.
Performance Management
ClearCompany also has an innovative approach to performance management.
The software offers a host of templates that streamline annual reviews, quarterly reviews, and more–depending on your organization’s preference.
What we loved about these templates is the uniformity they bring to reviews. Through pre-designed questionnaires, managers and employees can gain a fair understanding of performance.
When it comes to setting future goals, ClearCompany includes metrics-driven tools that employees can update as they go, giving a real-time view of their performance that their managers can see.
Although small organizations might not need such an in-depth approach, we think ClearCompany’s comprehensive suite of tools could enhance performance management in companies of all sizes. It brings visibility, clarity, and collaboration to the review process, helping employees to take accountability for their goals and progress.
ClearCompany Integrations
We’ve mentioned that ClearCompany isn’t an HR platform in the traditional sense because it lacks payroll, benefits, and expense functionality natively. However, it makes up for this with its range of integrations, which span all the leading payroll providers, benefits administrators, and accountancy applications.
While ClearCompany isn’t a one-stop-shop HR platform, it’s not trying to be. It’s a people management platform–and an excellent one at that–designed to integrate with other HR solutions to create a holistic ecosystem. ClearCompany integrates well with ADP, BambooHR, and Paychex, to name a few, for HR and payroll support. You can also find LinkedIn and Glassdoor for more job applicant opportunities.
ClearCompany Customer Reviews
We’ve been very impressed by ClearCompany’s intuitive, sleek talent management platform. But we also wanted to see what long-term users had to say. So, we took to TrustPilot and other review sites to gather their feedback.
On most review sites, the platform has a very high overall rating, with users praising the ease of use of the software, especially when it comes to recruitment. There are multiple mentions of the significantly improved, great customer support, and many choose ClearCompany thanks to its AI functionality and easy UX. The only major downside noted was the lack of a dedicated mobile app for iOS and Android.
What is ClearCompany Good for?
ClearCompany is great for organizations interested in digitalizing how they approach talent acquisition, employee engagement, and performance reviews. The great thing about the platform is that it’s highly scalable, meaning organizations of any size can use it and benefit.

ClearCompany vs Bamboo HR
ClearCompany and Bamboo HR are less competitors and more complimentary pieces of software, which is why they integrate with each other. While Bamboo HR helps HR professionals with administration, payroll, expenses, and timekeeping, ClearCompany is for hiring managers and takes care of employee experience and recruitment.
Saying this, Bamboo HR does have applicant tracking software and employee engagement features–but they’re not as robust and comprehensive as ClearCompany’s offering. This means Bamboo HR could be a great all-in-one solution for smaller businesses or a complementary solution to ClearCompany in larger ones.

ClearCompany vs Workable
ClearCompany and Workable both offer stellar recruitment capabilities. However, ClearCompany goes a step beyond Workable by offering an end-to-end talent management solution, which Workable doesn’t offer.
Saying that, for companies looking for only short-term recruitment technology, Workable could be a better option. The platform is quick to set up and offers tiered pricing based on the number of hires you need. However, it’s worth remembering that ClearCompany offers a module for just recruitment, too, although as its pricing structure isn’t as transparent, it’s hard to know if it’s at the same price point.

ClearCompany vs Rippling
Rippling is a full-suite workforce management consisting of payroll, benefits, expenses, recruiting, learning and development, and more. The platform is very comprehensive, and a perfect fit for global, large organizations seeking an end-to-end HR solution.
However, Rippling is also complex to deploy and requires a steep learning curve. ClearCompany, on the other hand, is easy to use and focused in its approach, likely making it a more appealing option for startups, SMBs, and larger companies operating solely in the US.

ClearCompany is a fantastic solution for organizations seeking to enhance talent acquisition and management. The platform is extremely intuitive to use, with a range of features designed to boost hiring outcomes and employee retention over the long term. While the platform isn’t a complete HR solution, its wealth of integrations means it can slot into any established HR team’s digital ecosystem seamlessly.

How to Choose the Best HR Software
Selecting the right HR software platform is a critical decision for any business. Before making a commitment, it’s essential to consider the following key factors:
- Price – Look beyond the surface when evaluating pricing. Hidden fees buried in the fine print can significantly impact your budget. Also, be wary of additional charges for extra features that may inflate the overall cost unexpectedly.
- Features – Ensure that the platform you choose covers all the necessary features to streamline your business operations. Think of it as finding a comprehensive solution for recruitment, onboarding, payroll management, and performance evaluations.
- Scalability – Your HR software should be able to grow alongside your business. Seek out platforms that can seamlessly scale up to accommodate your expanding workforce and evolving needs without compromising performance or user experience.
- Ease of Use – Opt for a platform that is intuitive and easy to navigate, reducing the learning curve for administrators and employees alike.
- Integrations – Prioritize platforms with robust integration capabilities, allowing you to leverage your existing tech stack while enhancing the functionality of your HR software.
- Customer Support – Evaluate available support channels, response times, and the expertise of the support team to ensure a positive experience.
