Working Out a Craps Payout for Any Bet Value
Another way to determine a craps odds payout for any wager you put down is to use a decimal value. Here, you must convert the payout odds value from a fraction (9:5) to a decimal. Then, you will need to multiply this decimal value by the amount you wish to put down as a bet to calculate how much you would win if you wagered this bet and it won.
For instance, again using the Place bet on four where there are craps payout odds of 9:5, when converted to a decimal, the figure becomes 1.8. As a result, you will need to multiply your $20 bet by 1.8. (20 x 1.8 = 36). So, if you won the bet, your payout would be $36.
