What Does Power Adaptive Algorithms Mean?
Power adaptive algorithms are algorithms that provide more than one method to fit various levels of power or service use. This more sophisticated approach helps to plan for various conditions involving limited resources.
Techopedia Explains Power Adaptive Algorithms
Think of power adaptive algorithms as “energy savers” or “resource savers.” The creators of these algorithms have to come up with different avenues in order to achieve the results. They have to provide an alternative for a computing method that draws less resources. For example, where the original algorithm may involve a large number of loops and iterative text searches that take up a good amount of memory or CPU time, the alternative version may do less of this analysis on the data store and thus not require as much energy or resources.
