Kwame Johnson
Becoming an investor in 2019, Kwame developed a sharp eye for genuinely useful cryptocurrency projects.
Gaining an education through trial and error, he was eventually able to contribute his expertise to Crypto News, CryptoSpinners and even pen email campaigns for London Real's Crypto & Defi Academy.
His first tokens were XLM, XRP, XTZ & IOTA - first trading before quickly learning long-term investments suited him best. Today, he's come to the belief that price volatility ultimately distracts from the true potential of certain protocols and hides the faults of others.
He believes retail investors, particularly those new to the space, are better off scouting for utility tokens and buying what they understand and believe in, before closing the exchange app on their phone and carrying on with the next 10 years of their life.
Having studied Content Development & Production at Ravensbourne University London, Kwame entered the workforce as a Camera Op & Editor for Wrestle Talk TV. After some travelling, he found himself enticed by the ease of copywriting - from anywhere in the world - and started freelancing before taking his first permanent role at White Hat Gaming. There, he was able to analyse the reception of his email campaigns and learn what elicits desired responses. His insights allowed him to pivot into the crypto writing niche and get paid to share the knowledge he'd accrued as an investor.
Today he resides in East Africa, where he's been able to observe Kenya's Mobile Money technology (M-Pesa) change the lives of even those without smartphones. Its adoption has revolutionised developing economies in the same way he expects blockchain protocols will.
Fun Fact: Kwame has had two near-death experiences, one of which actually killed him (he was resuscitated).
