From rollable laptops to the Nintendo Switch 2 — products we have speculated on for years are ready for their debut. Hopefully, there is also room in the market for smaller players to debut that tech gadget we never knew we wanted.

Techopedia explores what we expect to be the top tech releases of 2025.

Big Tech Releases of 2025: Top 14 Gadgets

Here are our picks for the top tech products coming in 2025 to help you better manage your expectations for upcoming tech releases.

Nvidia 50-series GPUs

  • Manufacturer: Nvidia Corporation
  • Launch price: Ranges from the GeForce RTX 5070 ($549) to the GeForce RTX 5090 ($1,999)
  • Release date: GeForce RTX 5090 and GeForce RTX 5080 arrive on January 30, variants in February 2025.

Nvidia is all set to release the GeForce RTX 50 series, almost three years after launching the RTX 40 series. This GPU is based on the Blackwell architecture and will include the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 models.

With up to 92 billion transistors and tipped to be two times faster than the previous generation, the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series is going to help anyone who needs high-demand computing tasks or wants the latest games on max settings.

While available in shops, we look forward to seeing the major computer and laptop manufacturers start releasing new machines with the series across 2025 — we have an example of that coming along below.

Only the RTX 5090, at $1,999, is priced higher than its predecessor. The other three models will cost less than previous models, and that’s a good marketing strategy, especially now that rivals like AMD and Intel focus on mid-range and low-end graphics cards.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series

  • Manufacturer: Samsung
  • Launch price: Base model expected to start at $799
  • Release date: Debuts January 22, 2025, in stores from February

Samsung always has a busy year. With the Galaxy S-series and Z-foldable launching about six months apart in the company calendar, the first big round of releases in 2025 will be the Galaxy S25 lineup.

The Galaxy series will include the baseline S25 version along with the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra, and will debute at the Samsung Unpacked event scheduled for January 22 in California, before going on sale in early February.

The three Galaxy S25 models are rumored to be coming with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and is expected to take the Samsung Galaxy artificial intelligence (AI) features to the next level.

Samsung AR Glasses

  • Manufacturer: Samsung
  • Launch price: Expected to be around $299
  • Release date: Rumored to be in Q3 2025

Samsung could finally introduce its Augmented Reality (AR) smart glasses in 2025, aiming to compete with devices like Meta’s Ray-Ban and Solos smart glasses. These glasses are expected to be lightweight, weigh around 50 grams, and feature a Qualcomm processor along with Google’s Gemini AI technology.

Samsung will likely unveil a prototype of these smart glasses at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January before their official release around the third quarter of 2025. Out of all the new tech coming out in 2025, will AR glasses finally break out of their niche?

Pricing for the glasses is still speculative, but considering the competitive landscape, the cost may be aligned with similar products, such as Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses, which start at $299.

Nintendo Switch 2

  • Manufacturer: Nintendo
  • Launch price: May be priced around $400
  • Release date: We expect Q2 2025

Confirmed for release in 2025, Nintendo Switch 2 is coming… bigger and bolder than ever.

Nintendo officially confirmed the portable console’s existence in a fun teaser trailer on January 16, 2025, which you can see above. Coming eight years after the original, there is a lot of pent-up demand for the sequel.

The Nintendo Switch 2 will be backward compatible with the previous generation of Nintendo Switch games — although we have warned of a few exceptions. While Nintendo is yet to reveal the hardware specs, we know we are getting a larger screen, an additional USB-C port, a headphone jack, and a redesigned kickstand.

The new Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons appear to be joined magnetically, and hear rumors of 1440p resolution, and 4K when docked and displayed on a TV.

Nintendo is hosting a variety of “Switch 2” days in April and May, and our smart money is on a release before summer 2025. Stay tuned.

  • Release date: First quarter of 2025

Asus announced during CES 2025 that it has refreshed the Zephyrus G14 and G16 Republic of Gamers laptops to 2025 versions. The previous generations made a big impact on gamers, and we expect the newest models, complete with Nvidia’s latest and greatest internals, to do the Same.

Both ROG Zephyrus G14 and ROG Zephyrus G16 will be equipped with Nvidia’s next-generation laptop GPUs, the Nvidia 50-series GPUs. The Zephyrus G14 will sport AMD’s new Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, while the Zephyrus G16 will use Intel’s Ultra 9 processor.

Both models are expected to be available for purchase in the first quarter of 2025, with prices starting at $2,199.99 for models equipped with an NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti GPU.

  • Manufacturer: Lenovo
  • Launch price: $3,499
  • Release date: June 2025

The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable was unveiled by Lenovo at CES 2025, and Techopedia has already spent time with the laptop — the first in the world to feature a rollable OLED display.

This means that you can expand the screen from 14 inches to 16.7 inches vertically for more productivity and multitasking functions.

Away from the screen, the laptop boasts excellent specs, including an Intel Core Ultra 7 Series processor, 1TB SSD, and 32GB of RAM.

It also features a 120Hz OLED display with 400 nits of brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a headphone jack. Be warned that early adopters will also find their wallets to be a lot lighter.

Pixel Watch 4

  • Manufacturer: Google
  • Launch price: Expected start at $349
  • Release date: August or October 2025

As in previous years, Google had a strong performance in 2024, marked by a slight shakeup in its lineup, including new naming conventions that streamlined its Pixel phone series.

There is no doubt about whether Google will continue the company’s line of wearable devices in 2025. There are currently rumors that the Pixel Watch 4 could see at least one major change this year — repairability, a feature absent in earlier models.

If Google remains consistent with its release cycle, then we expect the Google Pixel Watch 4 to arrive in the Summer of 2025 and to be among the top tech launches in 2025.

Sony WH-1000XM6 Headphones

  • Manufacturer: Sony
  • Launch price: May launch at $399
  • Release date: First half of 2025

2025 will mark three years since Sony released its latest flagship noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM5. Industry speculation suggests that Sony may release the next iteration, the WH-1000XM6, in the first half of 2025.

Sony might improve the WH-1000XM5’s shortcomings, including active noise cancellation (ANC), a better build, better spatial audio, more battery life, and an improved carrying case.

Pricing for the Sony WH-1000XM6 is still speculative, but we think the Japanese tech company will maintain the same starting price as in the last iteration, at $399.

Samsung Ballie AI Robot

  • Manufacturer: Samsung
  • Launch price: Not disclosed yet
  • Release date: Expected before July 2025

Since arriving in the headlines in 2020, Samsung’s AI ball robot, Ballie has been undergoing some redesign for a perfect launch. Samsung announced this January, at CES 25, that the AI rolling bot is ready and will be shipped to buyers sometime in the first half of 2025.

The AI-powered companion robot is designed to assist with daily tasks, interact with smart home devices, and provide personalized experiences such as voice command recognition, and the ability to project images and information onto surfaces.

As of now, Samsung has not disclosed the official launch price for Ballie.

M5 Apple MacBook Pro

  • Manufacturer: Apple
  • Launch price: Smaller-inch model may start at $1,999
  • Release date: Late 2025, possibly October or November

The M5 MacBook Pro will be the best of Apple’s high-end laptops, and it is expected to feature the next-generation M5 Pro chip. Thanks to the chip alone, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are projected to have higher performance than the current models with the M4 chips.

Aside from having the new Apple silicon chip, the M5 MacBook Pro may also have a camera redesign to feature a more compact camera module. Significant design changes, such as a thinner chassis and the introduction of OLED displays, are rumored to be slated for the MacBook Pro models.

We expect the Apple MacBook Pro M5 to be released later this year, probably around October or November, as per Apple’s typical launch cycle.

  • Manufacturer: Apple Inc
  • Launch price: Base model pricing may start at $349
  • Release date: Spring 2025

After skipping its entry-level tablet to refresh the iPad 10 Pro last Spring, recent reports suggest that Apple will finally roll out a new generation of iPads with a newer A-series chip in 2025.

This 11th-generation iPad is expected to retain the design of the 10th-generation model to feature a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display. It will likely support new connectivity standards such as Wi-Fi 6E or Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3.

Pricing for the Apple iPad (11th generation) is expected to start at $349 for the base model with 64GB of storage, with potential increases for higher storage capacities or cellular connectivity.

  • Manufacturer: Apple
  • Launch price: Not disclosed yet
  • Release date: March or April 2025

Apple’s Command Center is an upcoming smart home device that aims to improve home automation and connectivity. The device is expected to feature a six-inch square display with thick bezels, a front-facing camera for FaceTime calls, internal speakers for music playback, and a built-in rechargeable battery.

Apple will position this ‘Command Center’ as a competitor to devices like Amazon’s Echo Show and Google’s Nest Hub Max and offer you a wall-mounted device to control your smart home.

The operating system is also expected to combine elements of the iPhone’s StandBy mode and watchOS, primarily controlled via voice commands, with support for Apple Intelligence to manage apps and smart home products.

The device might be released as early as March or April 2025 and, from this list, will probably make the biggest splash of all of the latest tech releases. As of now, there is no official information regarding the launch price.

LG G5 OLED TV

  • Manufacturer: LG Electronics
  • Launch price: Could start from $1,799 to $24,999 depending on size
  • Release date: March or April 2025

LG unveiled its latest G5 OLED TV lineup at CES 2025. The smart TV looks set to be one of the best TVs of 2025.

The TV is expected to feature a new ‘Brightness Booster Ultimate’ panel which will potentially lead to 40% higher peak full-screen brightness. It may also house an upgraded Alpha 11 Gen 2 processor, an improvement over the Gen 1 in the G4.

Like other 2025 LG TVs, the G5 could run on the latest webOS 25, which enables many AI features like smart profiles with voice recognition and activation and an AI Picture wizard.

Its design will likely resemble the G4, and availability may start in March or April this year. Depending on the size, the price might range from $1,799 to $24,999.

  • Release date: February or March 2025

The Circular Ring 2 is a successor to the first Circular Ring launched in 2023. The new smart ring was unveiled at CES 2025 and is scheduled for release in February or March 2025.

The ring, priced at $380, has many improvements over its predecessor. It now includes on-finger ECG readings with an FDA-cleared atrial fibrillation (AFib) detection algorithm—features that are not currently available in its competitors, the Oura Ring 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Ring.

In addition to being built from titanium, Circular Ring 2 is expected to be available in four finishes: Silver, Black, Gold, and Rose Gold.

The Bottom Line

2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for new technology releases. From AI-powered devices and groundbreaking wearables to rollable laptops and next-gen gaming consoles, the pace of innovation continues to speed up.

Big tech players like Apple, Samsung, Nvidia, and Lenovo are pulling out all the stops to push the boundaries of what current tech can do.

It is increasingly harder for smaller brands to ignite a global market, but we hope for some smaller companies to also push through the noise and bring us something special this year.
